Faith Formation

The Office of Faith Formation ministers to all parishioners in order to help them grow in our Catholic Religion. They are responsible for offering programs which help bring all age groups to a closer relationship with God. They can be reached by email or by calling 410-879-1706.
The Faith Formation Committee is a standing committee of the Pastoral Council and supports the Office of Faith Formation. They meet the first Wednesday of every other month beginning in September through May. All parishioners are invited to attend the meetings.

  1. Religious Education for children and youth in grades K through 8. We offer both an in class program and a Family Home Study option. Catechesis is a responsibiltiy of the whole Church.
  2. Religious Education for High School and Confirmation for Grades 9-12 offers catechesis in a Youth Ministry setting by utilizing small faith sharing groups and large group presentations.
  3. Youth Ministry helps live out the mission as set by the document, Renewing the Vision: A Framework for Youth Ministry, which includes three goals…to empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today; to draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic faith community; and to foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person.
  4. Vacation Bible School celebrates faith with fun filled Bible based activities for a week in July. Registrations accepted April 15th through June 1st.
  5. Sacramental Preparation Programs are designed for those preparing to celebrate a sacrament for the first time.
  6. Adult Faith Formation includes opportunities for faith sharing in small and large groups. This includes but is not limited to; Prayer Groups, Bible Study Groups, and Parish Wide Programs of Lectionary Based Study. Currently we are focusing on Disciples In Mission for all ages!   7. RCIA includes opportunities for faith sharing in small and large groups. This includes but is not limited to; Prayer Groups, Bible Study Groups, and Parish Wide Programs of Lectionary Based Study. For information on any of these opportunities please contact the Office of Faith Formation.
  8. Parish Library is located in the Msgr. McCall Center houses a variety of materials including non-fiction and fiction material; resource materials, audio visual aides and Adult Faith sharing materials that are all available on loan. Stop in on Sunday’s after the 9AM and 11AM Masses, Tuesday’s from 10 to Noon, and during Class Times From October through May.
